About Us
We didn't want to make pretty invites. We wanted to make yours.
The invitation is the first thing your guests see. Before the shaadi band, before the décor, before the food - they see your invite. It sets the tone for everything that follows.
That's why we take it so seriously.
Our journey began with a simple aim - to revolutionize the way celebrations kick off! Be it wedding, anniversary, birthday, baby shower, engagement, housewarming, kirtans and puja, jalwa paiji, and more, we cater to all your event needs by creating invitations that are not just products, but pieces of art that narrate the story of your special occasion.
Our expert designers blend creativity, tradition, and modern aesthetics to produce digital invitations that stand out. Over the years, we've seamlessly incorporated the vibrancy of Indian culture into our designs, ensuring that every invitation we create is a testament to The Great Indian Studio's commitment to quality, uniqueness, and cultural integrity. With The Great Indian Studio, embark on a journey of celebration that begins with the perfect invitation!

About TGIS
The Great Indian Studio:
Your one-stop solution for stunning digital invitations, perfect for any occasion!
Our Story
TGIS started in 2019, when Sandip Singhania - a Marwari designer from Kolkata with a decade in motion graphics - couldn't find a single digital invitation studio that understood how a Marwari wedding actually looked. The marigold palette. The specific rituals. The energy.
So he built one.
What started as custom designs for family and friends became a full studio. Sandip's wife Madhu joined as co-founder in 2024, bringing the warmth and operational care that now defines every client experience at TGIS.
Six years in, we've served 500+ families from 10+ countries. We've built invitations for Marwari, Punjabi, South Indian, Bengali, Garhwali, Kashmiri, Himachali, and NRI weddings - often creating community-specific designs that had never existed in digital form before.
Our Garhwali invitation was the first of its kind in India. Our Kashmiri design was built from scratch for a Muslim family on the banks of Dal Lake. The Bengali caricature series went viral. The Himachali design sold at a premium price point on the very first order.
These aren't just designs. They're records of how India celebrates.
We're based in Kolkata. We work with families across India and around the world. We're a small, tight team - and we intend to stay that way, because that's the only way to do this kind of work properly.
